Motherhood is HARD! It seems as though every last bit of energy is spent doing the best you can for your children; cleaning snotty noses, playing the same game over and over, preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner that the kids won’t eat (but snacks of course are a lifeline), bandaging booboos, rocking little ones to sleep, being the referee when they all start bickering with each other, and so on. As the years go on, most of us slowly lose grasp of who we were before our kids. We no longer make it a priority to take care of ourselves, and instead, we lock ourselves in the bathroom, sit all the kids in front of the TV, or attempt to drown out the steady and ear-piercing whining that happens when the kids are over tired or don’t get their way. Take a DEEP breath. I am here to tell you I know how much you love your children. I know that you would give them anything…BUT how can you continue to give them your BEST if YOUR cup is empty? A plant needs to be taken care of in order to grow fruit, just as you need to be taken care of in order to ensure your children grow and blossom. Please take a moment to glance around the site. (Yoga classes now available!) This is a safe space with no judgment. If you have a question, ask it. If you are looking for ideas for lunches, projects, activities, or items that will help you get through your day, those are here too. If you just need someone to cry to, I’m here to listen and give you virtual hugs (just hit up the “Contact Me” tab in the menu). Above all, don’t forget to ask yourself, “What have I done for ME today?” (Showers and basic essentials don’t count!)
